Infrastructure
Unicor’s infrastructure is designed to optimise production of small/large volumes from 1g to 15kg and to facilitate logistics operations. The facility specialises in plastic injection moulding to meet a wide range of customer requirements. Located less than 30 minutes from the Port of Montreal and 40 km from the US border, it is ideally situated to facilitate transportation and logistics.
Building
The factory covers 56,000 square feet on 100,000 square feet of land. An additional 36,000 square feet of factory space is currently under development.
The building layout is designed to support waste management and ventilation to ensure a healthy and efficient manufacturing environment.It features storage areas, including silos, for raw materials such as resins, additives, components and finished products.
Optimised for Production
Efficient equipment layout of 21 machines ranging in tonnage from 25 to 1800 tonnes and an overhead crane capable of handling 10-tonne moulds and tools; as well as processes and resources to maximise productivity and minimise costs while using advanced plastic injection and automation technologies.
Our preventive maintenance and efficient management of workflows and materials ensure reduced downtime and aim to improve the quality of finished products, the safety of our 80 employees and environmental sustainability.
Rigorous quality standards
Our quality standards have strict and detailed criteria to ensure that our products and assembly services meet our customers’ requirements.
They involve regular checking and verification procedures to detect and correct non-confirmations as early as possible in our 24-hour production process.
